Approved Courses for Secondary Schools of MS

The following courses are listed in the Approved Courses for the Secondary Schools of Mississippi manual printed by the Mississippi Department of Education.

Some high school courses have prerequisites (courses a student must have completed before enrolling). Students are responsible for meeting such requirements. Courses are constantly being revised. Please check with the Independent Study office (662.325.2649, 662.325.8382, or 662.325.2652) or Barnes & Noble at Mississippi State University (662.325.1576) before acquiring a textbook from another source.

Please note: Students attending private schools, home school programs, and out-of-state schools may be able to take unit courses listed as either part 1 (half unit) or part 2 (half unit)
