Welcome to High School Independent Study

High School Independent Study offers instruction in a wide variety of subject areas that can be applied to a diploma or used in a home school setting. Independent Study provides opportunities for students to learn at their own pace, gain high school credit, and enjoy positive learning experiences. Self-motivation, a conscientious effort, and self-discipline are required.

Independent Study course content parallels in-class equivalents yet provides flexibility in the structure and delivery. Each course is designed around a study guide, textbook, lessons and exams, and tends to be reading and writing intensive. Qualified high school teachers, retired teachers and university faculty serve as instructors and provide feedback.
