Current Issues in Food Science

Course Description

Maintaining or improving food quality and adapting to new techniques is an ever present challenge. This course is designed to study recent topics of interest in the food science fields and is structured to provide information about controversial and new topics in food safety and nutrition. A compilation of publications manual is required and must be ordered from the Independent Study office. Request purchasing information from the Independent Study office. Approved by the U. S. Department of Agriculture for Food Technologist certification.
